My weekend in DE, PA, and NJ
That’s right! In three days I hit 3 states. Super fun, with lots of activities, and of course, eating.
Here at Fat People Anonymous we try to motivate each other. Great. I’m all for it.
Motivational Thought For Today:
COOK MORE AT HOME! Why? Because home cooked meals are so good! And since you are the one cooking, you control the amount of oil, salt, etc that goes into your foods.
So I stayed with a Puerto Rican Family this weekend, and upon arrival, had dinner. I love rice! What Hispanic person doesn’t??? But Puerto Ricans have something special called “Pegao” which is the rice that sticks to the pot and you scrape it off and its crunchy. YUMMY! I had a plate of that all on its own, topped with some ranch dressing (fat free..blech) I tried making “Pegao” once but ended up with burnt rice, will try again soon. Also on the menu were yummy beans. I love beans, I just don’t eat them enough, unless I go to Chipotle. Anywho, something to try, add pumpkin to it! It was delicious, and nutritious!!!! It added this sweet taste to it, and as much as I love knocking over people’s old Halloween pumpkins from their front porch after Halloween is over, it was so good with the beans. Oh yeah, we had chicken too, and salad! Oh yeah try buying those salad finishers, our salad had almonds in it! Yummy.
Ok so we went to a place called Longwood Gardens in PA. It was so beautiful. It’s a lot of walking though, which is good, because walking is good for you. And the scenery makes you want to keep on walking and enjoying. It didn’t help the knee at all, but the walking did keep me warm.

So for dinner we went to Applebee’s. Awesome Kiwi Margarita that I recommended to my friend Jeanette that I wish I had ordered for myself instead of my Mango Martini (which was still good, but the Kiwi..yum!) So I already knew what I wanted to order: RIBS. But I was presented with a dilemma….half rack or full?

You see the dilemma????
What would my fellow Fat People Anonymous bloggers think if I ordered Full? With the waitress looking at me waiting for me to order, I caved in…and ordered Full. Would I finish it? Would people think I am a pig? Will post pic soon of me and my delicious plate of ribs.
Well as the evening progressed, my friends slowly started quitting on their meals, and there I was, working on my bbq ribs. After ordering some lemon to enhance the flavor, I did it. I finished my rack of ribs. It was yummy. Applebee’s won me over as a customer again. I didn’t eat the fries, too salty. Trying to watch my weight. LOL.
Did I feel bad? A little. But I had gone to the gym twice last week, and did a whole lot of walking prior, so I had definitely worked up an appetite. The worse part of the whole thing was…I knew that within an hour I would be hungry again!!
Why do I get so hungry after eating a big meal? I feel as if I hadn’t eaten at all? Is it because of the working out???? HELP!!!
And that’s my dilemma. And that’s why I joined Fat People Anonymous. Cus I’m not fat fat. But if I keep these eating habits, I will be.
Until next time!
