Grammys
So I made sure I was going to watch the Grammys last night. I normally watch them every year but this year I really wanted to watch them because of Coldplay! I loved their new album and was really rooting for them. The show itself was pretty cool. It had 22 performances and only 10 awards. They should just call it Music Concert night or something because the awards are usually an afterthought. Best performance? I'm going to say Coldplay, Radiohead, Adele with Sugarland (I knowwww, they are country but you know what, they were really good).
I also liked Kanye and Estelle's performance, it was like the video... so it was what was expected. The "Rap Pack" Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye West (who needs to get rid of that nasty mullet he's trying to grow) and TI did Swagga like us with an obscenely pregnant MIA. That was insane, she was about to give birth on that stage and her polka dot lady bug outfit was not suiting her at all.
Robert Plant (former front man for Led Zepplin **Michael would be proud that I know this**) and Allison Krauss won the big awards. Apparently they are really good and they had that big time producer T-Bonez work with them on the album.
I also liked Justin's performances (had to do an extra due to Chris Brown and Rihanna's sudden disappearance... that's a whole other bizzaro story) the one with Al Green was NICE! He seemed like extremely giddy to be performing with him. and also with TI, they did really good. I like that song, even though I didn't know what it was about until last night.
Oh... and Whitney Houston looked great but sounded a bit crazy.
