I miss you

Driving down the highway
miles and miles go by
I think, I wonder
how did the time go by?
So fast? So swift?
My eyes start to sparkle
tears start forming
drops start falling
Memories flash through my mind
I think about all the lost time
What could have been
What should have been
It's too late now
You're gone and I'm here
waiting patiently for the day
that I see you again
